How do I enable/disable my domain's statistics?

Webalizer is used by Plesk on Linux-based servers to read the apache log files for each domain and process statistics about pages viewed, visitor details, search keywords, etc.

As this setting is specific to each domain, you can control it via the Setup icon under search domain:

Setup

  • First, log onto the Plesk Control Panel (all details can be found in the 'Account Details' e-mail, dispatched to you when your account is activated).

  • If you have logged on at the Client Level (this is the default level), please click on the name of the domain you wish to update. This will load the domain's settings page.
  • Now click on the Setup icon.

  • Under Services, enable the tick-box for Web statistics to switch on the Webalizer processing for your domain.

  • If Web statistics is enabled, the option (accessible via password protected directory /plesk-stat/) will be made available. This allows you to decide whether or not to require authentication to view all the statistics generated by Webalizer. For more details about how to access the statistics, please click here.

  • To save the setting, click OK.

By selected this setting, you have made a request to have your logs processed each morning. Statistics will not be generated immediately, but instead processed, one domain at a time, from around 4am each morning. Depending on the number of domains and the number of visitors to each site, this can take from two to twenty minutes.
