How quickly your account is created depends on how you have selected to pay. If you have requested a more traditional method (Cheque, Invoice, Wire Transfer, etc.), it will take much longer, as we cannot start the process until payment has cleared.
However, if you pay using a Credit/Debit card or PayPal, we will receive instant authorization of payment, and therefore can process your account immediately.
The Account Creation Queue
At the end of the sign-up process, all relevant items (i.e. packages and domains) are added to a queuing system. Every 20 minutes, our system checks this queue to see if we have received payment for all the items. Once payment for your account has been received, then it sends off each of the items to to be processed (e.g. to our registrar for domains).
So long as there are no errors in the processing, it shouldn't take longer than around 20 minutes from us receiving payment for your account to be setup on our server(s) and requests sent to our registrar. However, domain registration/transfer is not immediate. For more information on how domains are registered and how long it takes them to become active, please see our article:
If there is an error (e.g. our registrar has rejected your details when registering a domain name), remaining processing on your account may be paused until the error is fixed. If at any time you feel this process it taking too long or may have stalled due to an error, please Submit a Ticket to our Support Team who will investiagate.
